I found something very valuable in these notes about showmanship. I don't have the time to give a review now but my thanks to you, Mr. Rowland, for being the change you seek.

A few people have asked me how many people have so far applied for these FREE lecture notes. To date, the total is 262.
As this is now page 2 of this thread, just to let newcomers know I'm offering a new set of lecture notes absolutely FREE. 48 pages of material, mentalism and cards, stage and close-up. Some people seem to think it's fairly good stuff. See details, contents and comments: http://www.ianrowland.com/FreeNotes Yes, totally free. No catch. And I won't add your details to a mailing list or pass them on to anyone else.

I have read throughout the FREE lecture notes a couple of time. I can only add my praise for the cotent and I was able to take really useful ideas from them (love the colour picture cards for doing readings). All I can say if you do not take up this incredible FREE offer not only are you missing out on Ian's wondeful thinking, but more importantly you are giving up the opportunity to give back and add a little kindness to the world.
Thanks Ian Chris |

Just sent Ian my request and promiseof donation.
I told him that I think I'd also like to do a show for my donated choice. I even thought it might be cool to do one of his pieces in the show. I think that would be quite fitting. Can you imagine a thousand magicians/mentalist making a thousand donations? But on top of that Ian Rowland gets to give even more, by taking part in a thousand charity shows. And he doesn't even have to lift anything heavy! It's a kinda' magic!

Ian, I look forwards to receiving my notes and can I reiterate what other people have said already, what a kind and generous thing to do. I genuinely hope that you get to your 1,000 goal and I would personally be chuffed to see you smash it! What a gentleman.

Ian once again gives unselfishly to the community!
If you have not taken advantage of Ian's generaous offer, get busy! There are any, many good ideas to think about in these notes. Thank you Ian for your contributions! And what a great idea! To reiterate what bobser said above; "Can you imagine a thousand magicians/mentalist making a thousand donations?" What a positive impact on the lives of the less fortunate.

Ian, It's Stevesuss28@gmail.com. I sent it out first October 24 and resent it October 31. I didn't want to bother you since you're probably busy with thousands of other Emails. Anyway, I truly appreciate it and compliment you for your wonderful generosity. Thanks again.

Thanks Ian ,
Giving is what magic is all about. Giving of ourselves to the enrichment of others. My mentor taught me that being a magician was not about the money or applause. It was about bringing a bit of joy to the one person in my audience who desperately needed to forget what a crappy world we sometimes live in and who needed to remember what it was like to laugh like a care free child. Thanks for doing you part. |

Got mine, and spent all last night reading it. I gotta say, it’s a goldmine! Not-so-common sense performance tips, some great effects, and a few laughs as well. Ian could easily be making much money from this book, and it speaks highly of his generosity in making this available at no profit to himself.
Thanks, Ian. I’m going to Staples tomorrow for some laminating plastic!
...what if I could read your mind?
