Duane Laflin sent me an exciting email today, he has rented the historic and beautiful Tibbets Opera House in Coldwater, Michigan, for October 4-6, 2012 for a full scale ADVANCE gospel magic ministry conference. It will feature a Gospel illusion show in the theatre, plus a variety show with Gospel magic, lectures and seminars. This will be fantastic for sure- hope to see you all there!

I'm looking to see if I can swing attending this next time around. Man, I wish I would've met you when I live in MI.

I have attended three "ADVANCE" confrences with Duane Laflin. They are HIGHLY recomended!!! If you do Gospel magic or want to don't miss it!!!

In January, our first Kazoo Chapter of FCM will be meeting and I was happy to hear that Duane has scheduled his October ADVANCE conference at the fully restored Tibbets Opera House in Coldwater. If you go to this conference and are new to the area, you might as well take a short side trip over to Colon to visit both Abbott's and FAB Magic and then on up over to Marshall to see the terrific Museum. Even a trip to the cemetary in Colon is worth the drive to see the grave sites of many famous magicians including Harry Blackstone Jr. and Sr., Duke Stern, Recil Bordner, Karrel Fox, Little Johnnie Jones, Jack Gwynne, Bob Lund and sadly recently Hank Moorehouse.

Duane and Mary will also be at the Ohio FCM March 2nd & 3rd 2012 at the Fort Rapids Water Park and Resort in Columbus Ohio. There will be two days of lecturing and performing. Everyone welcome,see the Ohio FCM posting for mor info

We are looking forward to lecturing there this year. It will be a new lecture only available there at ADVANCE. We have yet to be to an ADVANCE conference, but from what I hear from everyone, they are amazing. Truly looking forward to it!

So much to do in the Coldwater area that is magic related- including doing the very short drive north to visit Colon (home of Abbott, FAB, and Sterlini Magic companies) and then onward to the American Museum of Magic in Marshal. Just as a total aside, due to Magic Week in Colon and the FCM convention being during the same week this year, Dr. Jerry Burgess (who always sits front row center at Abbott's evening shows) will be presenting the "Magi-Ministers" session/lecture in Colon Friday morning (which included in the Abbott's registration).

That's what I hear that the Colon area is like Magic Capital North! I'm really looking forward to getting up there. There have been so many Abbot's conventions I had planned on attending, but never could make it up there.
