My hat's off to Don Driver who has frequented this forum. With high praises from Doc Hillford and Whit Haydn, among others, Don is an established Svengali pitchman (20+ years),and has been VERY helpful in setting me up for pitching. He truly knows what works and what doesn't and his methods for getting the most "buck for the bang" are incredible. He has a unique approach to pitching which is in the grasp of any performer. Witnessing his methods first hand, I feel that those who wish to pursue this area will be more than pleased with his knowledge.

I am so impressed with his knowledge that Don and I are working together on a project which aims at melding the magician with pitchman, yet keeping them seperate. This information would be a nice addition or staple for any magician looking to greatly enhance performance dollars, quickly create their own venues and audiences and perfect their skills in "real world" settings. I assure you, this information will be a breath of fresh air blown into an area that has much potential for any closeup performer looking to generate more business.

Look for more on this in the next few weeks. Plans right now are for a video and manuscript with ideas and strategies that can readily be put into action and conformed to any performer.

Let me know your thoughts.

I have known Don for maybe a year now and I can honestly say he is the nicest person I ever got to know through the net. He is extremely generous with his knowledge, and made me into an adequate pitchman.

I'd buy anything Don ever puts out.

Greetings and Salutations Christopher,

I'm not sure what their relationship is/was, but Docc Hilford speaks very highly of Don Driver on several tapes that Docc made with Brian Flora, and those tapes are quite good.

On that basis, I would be interested in seeing what Don Driver has to say on the subject of pitching.

Good luck with your project!

Joe in KC

Don Driver certainly does know how to make a pitch!

Nice to see that his vast knowledge will be spread more widely. And as has been said, he has been more than kind and extremely generous with those willing to hear what he has to say!

A video and manuscript sounds great, as long as it doesn't turn into a two or three year project. My attention span doesn't last that long ;-)

I would suggest that it contain some live, real world "Don in Action" footage as well. It is one thing to be told what works, and Don always covers the points very well, but it is quite another thing to actually see it happening "out there"!

I look forward to hearing more on this exciting project.

Everybody!,
I got Jesus now,so ... you can take what I got to say to the 'bank'.
I've known Don for over thirty years. From back in the old Vegas days with Mike Skinner ... there are very few guys like him left. He'll bend over backward to help anyone and the wisdom and knowledge that he imparts you won't find in any book ...I know that I know it'll be the real work, he can't help himself and that's 'on the square!'
"Sin promises more then it delivers"
From back-alley'crap shoots' and cardroom 'steer joints' world wide ...to Las Vegas slots and high stakes poker, over 20 years of honed experience on and off the tables a retired 'cross roader' and 'mechanic' ....

I can't think of anyone I'd rather learn from, than Don Driver. He knows the real stuff on drawing and holding a crowd, on pitching and selling. If he puts anything out, you should grab it.

Can anyone provide an update regarding the Don Driver project? I'm really looking forward to adding this one to my library of "Pitching" material.

All:

Don truly is "with it". I dig him!
He's from "Balmer, Hon" (Baltimorese for
'Baltimore'), so he can't be 1/2 bad... Smile

I plan to buy his stuff and make some money
with it.

Thanks, Don!

OK, I may be letting the Cat out of the Bag early but.........

I just heard from a reliable source (Don ...something) that the Don Driver Video and manuscript is ready to ship!

I can't believe that we first heard of it on Sept 8, and here it is still before November 8, and it is a reality! This has to be a record to go from concept to production! Bravo!!!

I now have the tape and manuscript on order and will be providing a review, once I get a chnace to go over it.

For more info go to http://www.dondriver.tk and get ordering information.

Way to go Don! FInally a Pitchmen who really deliver the goods! In a hurry! And cheap too! But I will let you find out the price for yourselves...but I have paid more just for a manuscript, and this "small money" is for both the video and the manuscript!

Re: the Don Driver Svengali pitch tape, I'm very interested but have one question. I don't want to sell Svengali decks; I just want to gather a crowd for my street magic show. Is his tape going to help me do this? Is his material directly applicable?
Thanks.
Jim
