What effect of Scott do you own and perform? Nobody wants to fight here but I want to put ethics back into magic sales/products and not having others pay tremendous sums for routines or ideas (Steinmeyer comes to mind) that (not in this case, or maybe yes?) have been marketed a few years back... After all it's magician helping magicians right? ;)

And here is another fun needle fact...
Native Americans used porcupine quills and the pointed end of agave leaves for sewing needles. The fibers of the agave leaf were also used for thread. Nifty! |

Good night Scott, good night Randi...good night Puck, good night Mary Ellen...good night John Boy....
good night Jan... and so mother peace stretched her arms over Walton's mountain just like the moon shed his blue, soothing rays across the tree covered hills....

We were able to get the Gaffs and DVD's completed so we will be able to get these out earlier then anticipated. Pre orders are currently be taken at http://www.puckmagic.com/products.htm and will ship within 7 - 10 days. Also, Murphy's has picked up the exclusive distribution rights and should have them to the magic shops around the end of the month.

Scott is a super nice guy, and never says anything bad about anyone. The routines he offers have paid my bills hundreds of times over. Thank you Scott! And for those that are unaware; Needles (Mojave ʼAha Kuloh) is a city located in the Mojave Desert on the western banks of the Colorado River in San Bernardino County, California. Needles was named after "The Needles", a group of pointed rocks on the Arizona side of the river. The large Mohave Native American community, shares the nearby Fort Mojave Indian Reservation and the town. I hear they have beautiful sunsets in the summer. |

Ummm Scott? what did you do to your hair?
I think $300 is worth it to not fight tangles. Anyone who as ever done the needles knows what a pain in the but it is when the needles get tangled up. I was doing the needles in the last few shows. I would swallow the needles, my assistant swallowed the thread. We would kiss and stretch out the needles. After countless rehearsals on our first nite out they got tangled. Grrr. So yes I would pay for this solution alone. Sadly my assistant and her fiance have moved away and now I can't do the needles like that anymore. sad Chad |

Chad thanks for understanding how conquering the tangling of the needles and thread adds to the value of our routine. On another note the presentation you mentioned with the use of an assistant and the kiss reveal coincidently happens to be one of Scott's signature pieces. He has been performing the Lady and the Tramp influenced routine first with "The Needles" and then adapted to "The Blades" since the early 90's. This was a staple in his act while performing regularly at Caesar's Magical Empire for eight years. As far as I know he only gave permission to one other performer to do his routine and that was Dan Sperry. There have been several copies show up from time to time none of which are acknowledged by Scott. I fully understand that two people can independently create a similar routine but if one is already well known for it then a conversation is customary. You should send Scott a friendly message to talk if you decide to put that presentation back in your show.

I can honestly say ive never met or seen Scott or Dan perform. So the presentation angles are a coincidence. but I can guarantee that even if the kiss was similar the rest of the routine was definitely not. Not even close to the Lady & Tramp. But out of respect if I do it like that again ill talk to him about. As a matter of fact ill send him a message anyway.
Aaron I do a lot of work on the burlesque circuit. So kissing an asst is totally normal. You should see some of the pics on my fbook page to see what she wears! Or rather doesn't wear! or rather did. still sad Chad ps Puck I just sent Scott a msg here on TMC. tell hum to check for it. and to go back to his other hair |
