Great to see a fellow NI mentalist, but the show just doesn't do it for me. Too much about him trying to be a smart man in a cardigan than about anything of substance. Bit too much patronising and talking down came across to me in the last series, if I don't click with a performer that usually does it for me. A lot of faffing about for little or no effect IMO.
Saw a flyer for some of his shows in a train station recently, it was an unfortunately large stack that didn't go down then disappeared one day Shall be tuning in later, fingers crossed that I'll be eating my words!

So, would complain about her if she comes across as an intelligent person?
David comes across as who he is. |

The show was great! The ending was fairly fecking amazing, the girlfriend who normally hates anything to do with magic and mindreading thought it was highly entertaining which speakes volumes! Great to see one of the lads do well, just goes to show if you have the talent and if your willing to work hard then you can do pretty amazing stuff. Cant wait for next week! By the way if you missed the show last night you can check it out on the BBC iPlayer : http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01......stition/ Everytime I watch Dave it makes me want to go out and perform and maybe even buy a cardigan ;D
Any Irish or English mentalist here should deff check it out,tis mighty stuff! Pete |

Hey lads how are things? Just reminder The David Meade project is back on again tonight 10:35pm on BBC1 NI. In this episode "David elicits surprising results when he encorages memebers of the public to take staggering risks". Sounds very interesting, really looking forward to it!

Hey Marky mark no worries at all Tonight's episode was fantastic in fairness, laughed through out the show and as usual all the technical stuff was 100% spot on. Really hope people here are watching this, It's a fecking wonderfull piece of entertainment and in my opinion as good as any other mentalism show that I've seen. Two thumbs up

Are we watching the same show? Tried to watch last night and got massively bored. Don't mean to rain on any parades but come on, any mentalism on TV is good but I have never seen such a patronising piece of television. Is there a jumper sponsor funding the whole thing?
...still happy to see it on TV

Well I loved the one card monte last night but I too tend to get bored with long presentations [The Tidliwinks thing] but I like how
he tries. Max Maven [of course] is the only really funny mentalist I have ever seen. The college lecturer in his always present jumper or cardigan [and glasses] is a good angle.

The card might have been better if it wasn't so long spent on the same thing and so obvious what was going to happen,
one thing that I thought interesting was the way that 'Mentalism' is described as a skill, rather than a 'series of skills'. It's a good idea but I don't think there is much point to any of the routines, one method used for a long time, someone appears to get something wrong then actually they have done something else, provoked by a patronising man in a jumper. Still not seeing anything that is MIND BLOWING though, will be waiting though.
