It is also porous, so water will be able to flow through the material. Think about the applications in our realm.

How can something be "100 times lighter than styrofoam"? That would be -99 times as light as styrofoam. Seems unlikely.

So it's not the material itself it's the structure. If we had a block of Styrofoam 4X4 and a block of this stuff 4X4 I wonder how it would stack up weight wise.
