Bob,
I am very happy to see you here! There are many books concerning "tricks" out there, but not so many about stagecraft and performance skills. Weber, Nelms etc do have important works, but are there any books you would recommend on stagecraft? Best wishes Eric

I would second the Ken Weber and Henning Nelms books and would also add Fitzgee's "Showmanship for Magicians" as well as the many books available on stand up comedy and improv. (Not to make you into a stand up comic, but for the work on audience handling, mic and stage technique, etc.)

Many thanks for your reply! Yes, personally I think being a (good) standup comedian is probably one of the hardest things!
