Jolyon Jenkins has just released his new "Radio Controlled Spirit Bell" plans on my site, and while the usual uses for a Spirit Bell are in seances and bizarre magic, he has included some ideas for brightening up the effect for Kids and Christmas. This is an electronic prop you make yourself, so why not make it from a ribbon of Christmas Jingle Bells instead of the usual bell. The bell can be magically linked to Santa to warn him who has been naughty or nice (pass out cards that say "Naughty" and "Nice" on them and let the kids pass them back and forth until you say "Santa says FREEZE!." Then the kids parade in front of the jingle bells which jingle once for "Nice" and "Jingle-Jangle-Jingle" for "Naughty."
The same set-up would work to search for a Santa Claus card that is hidden in the audience, and because it is radio controlled, the jingle bell can be taken around from card to card by a spectator, ringing once if the card is NOT Santa, and going crazy with jingles when Santa shows up. The e-Book contains other ideas for using the spirit bell as a Christmas Kid effect, but you have to either be able to make the electronics yourself, or be friends with someone who can do the hard work with you or for you.
