I guess "on the rise" was unclear to you, dude. It means more people than before. It has been there but it is enjoying an uptick in use among those I stated. Or so my experience shows.

I've done a lot, God knows I've tried
To find the truth, I've even lied But all I know is down inside I'm bleeding. And Super Heroes come to feast To taste the flesh not yet deceased And all I know is still the beast is feeding. And crawling on the planet's face Some insects called the human race Lost in time, lost in space And meaning.
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity.--Yeats |

(Although I did like the first episode and the last where they actually DID something.) Me myself personally, I like the Batman/Superman team ups they have going now. I also remember the old Defenders with Dr. Strange, Nighthawk, Valkyrie and child like Hulk.

Maybe by kids in your east bay town. I'm talking about the country and I'm not talking about kids.

Does "The Dude" count as a superhero? His power is to "abide."

Thor! Yes, I had forgot all about him, I liked him, in the comics, when I was a kid.
