Like having an Italian (mafia made) actuary...he can not only tell you when you are going to die...but where and how!

I would not like to know but if someone knows I would like them to tell me.

Anyway, if you know what day your first child was born you know what day you died. Since on that day your life is over and you start living for them, so someone told me. Such is life. Smile
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Knowing it's gonna' happen sometime but not knowing when is a little exciting. And scary. And exciting.

Awesome book. Was going to post that myself. As soon as I saw this thread it made me think of it. Free PDF download of the entire book from their website even. http://machineofdeath.net/ebook

And I don't think I'd want to know when or how.

This is one of those interesting philosophical paradoxes. If you know the day you are going to die, does this mean that suicide before that date becomes impossible, or that it is perfectly safe to engage in death-defying activities?

Like the Grandfather Paradox, you could use this argument to show that it is impossible to know for certain when you will die. Even the person on death row might commit suicide or have a heart attack before the due time.

I hate surprises. Therefore, I know how and under what conditions and reasons. I will also decide when, unless I am taken by surprise. I hate surprises.

What if you find out today that it is tomorrow?

I'm just glad to be alive. Every day I am alive, it is a gift and I am happy to have it. I would rather not know when I am going to die, but prefer to live every moment I have as if it were my last, that way I get the fullest out of life and there will be no regrets when my time comes. Somebody once told me that it is not when you die that matters, but how you die. Hopefully when my time comes, I will have a peaceful, painless death.

I think I act as if I'm not going to die.
If I was told I had five years to live it would be so hard to enjoy those years, I would just be focusing on the inevitable end.

So no, don't tell me.

I want to die like my uncle: peacefully,in his sleep--not panicking and screaming like the PASSENGERS in his car.

The question is this really...

If you were told, would you really believe it?
