The Biddle trick is also a very nice in the hands effect. You let the fifth card disappear and it appears face up in their face down packet, which the spectator held in their hands during the performance. Great!!

Last Trick, Red Hot Mamma, Las Vegas Leaper are excellent tricks. I would like to throw into the ring Kardekuntse(?) from Darwin Ortiz's book Cardshark. When presented correctly it has always served me with a great audience payoff.

This is more "deck is spectator's hands" but The Lazy Man's Card trick available in the book Close Up Magic by Harry Lorayne, which gives a better handling than say the Easy to Master Card Miracles DVD.
Depending upon how you patter and "play" the effect (like anything), the results are stupendous and tremendous. Effect. Spectator chooses a card, then replaces the card and takes the deck and cuts, and cuts and cuts (and sometimes this can last a while), and the card magically moves to X number from the top. You have them deal out that # of cards and wha la, it's their card. Floors them, especially when as they're cutting, you play with the card box and just glance up and tell them to cut again, then continue to play with the card box, or walk around the room, not really paying attention. Then you tell them to cut again...and cut again. You don't touch the deck after they choose the card. Brilliant and sinfully easy. Mike |

Red Hot Mama-Whit Haydn's book on this is a "must read'
Eddie Fechter's Be Honest What is it? (in Fechter-another 'must' IMHO) A relation of Daley's Last Between Your Palms There are many effects not originally created for 'in hands' but can be done that way; some have to be when strolling and there's no surface. I now sometimes get two spectators to hold card(s), one hand each side which also prevents the card eaing turned over too soon.

Double Whammo (Daryl's ACR video)
its an ingenious application by whoever invented it, and I think you can involve "their hands" with right misdirection, and instructiongiving (?) to the spectator. just be sure to continue your ACR from then on, if not try to learn other DL-less moves so you can have a complete fullproof routine otherwise, Biddle Trick is pretty good. |

The last phases of Greg Wilson's Lethal Fours (Pyrotechnic Pasteboards) is very strong as an "in the spectators hands" effect. However the action doesn't all happen in their hands.

As for "Spectator Does The Trick" - I'd go with Impossible in Classic Magic of Larry Jennings..
As for "Done in the spectators hand" - I'd probably pick Between The Palms (as mentioned before) or Dr. Daley's Last Trick.
"penguin is the cheapest magic shop online" - some person I was talking to on AIM.

Along with Jay Sankey's "Back In Time," I like Gregory Wilson's version of "Daley's Last Trick" called "Weighted Aces." He teaches it on his "Double Take" video.

I happen to be fond of "one for the money" by bill goldman, and this other trick however I have forgotten the name of it. Those are my choices, I can only describe the second one though.
