Hi Gang,
I was wondering if any of you prepare your hands, as in washing/moisturising/drying etc. prior to performing card magic? I ask as when I practice card sleights/effects sometimes the cards grip nicely to the hand and othertimes my hands seem to glide across them too easily and fails to move the card - the erdnase change is probably my best example. Does this make sense? I think if I wash my hands then it is harder to perform with cards however if they have recently been slightly moist it is much easier. Anyone have any advice on this or experience similar problems? Thanks. AA

Thanks very much MagicDr, good to know I'm not the only one!! I'll have a good read of the thread now.

Dan and dave have a new "lotion" out that might be worth trying.

Also if you are performing in an area where there are drinks and your hands are dry, move a glass of lager or other cold drink with condensation on the side.

I still swear by hot wax baths. My wife got me one and its amazing at keeping hands in condition.
