Just thought I'd mention that I used Marc Paul's 'summing up' as openers for three shows I did within the last 10 days.
It rocked majorly (is that a word?).

I used a huge introductory story relating to Einstein and his theories with regard to rational and intuitive thinking coupling both with the question of whether or not there truly is such a thing as coincidence (I think this effect both needs and deserves a great storyline).

One small thing was that I was watching my audience closely, as I did not want anyone filming it in order to do any reverse engineering.

BUT, like I said, it was huge. Thanyou Marc.

Reading another thread about Subliminal effects, someone mentioned Sublime Influence. Curious, I checked it out. Combining the two gives you a plausible and interesting variation for the end reveal -- if you choose to go the subliminal influence angle as a performance. Right now, I'm actually translating the idea for use on my iPad. I have a free White Board App I use to write down the various numbers. Also, I'm editing together a short movie clip where I have cut in one frame of the logo used from Sublime Influence. The idea is that I can quickly pull up and show the spectators this video clip. Finally, I have a graphic of the logo, which reveals its true subliminal nature.

If you're familiar with both effects, I think this will make sense -- just don't want to type too much to give anything away.

Anyway, end result is a hands on, visual presentation for more intimate performances.

I perform Summing Up as a closer.

It has killed with some of my magician friends, as they do not know the method.

I love it, and always have it there to close.
