I was just playing with my Sandwich Platter and wondered if anyone else noticed that the m***** in the gimmicked platter 'moves' when you shake the platter (when holding the plate at the edges that is)? Is this normal? I have another Sandwich Platter and it's the same ... . Nothing to really worry about I guess but nonetheless 'irritating' now that I know it

For mine, it's the same, a noise when I shake the gimmicked platter. But it's not a problem, withe the noise, I can easily find where is the gimmicked one!

Killertweety,
Mine is silent also. BTW the main challenge for me that comes up when practicing this is static electricity can be your enemy during the routine. My solution has been too lift the upper plate slowly and give it a slight bend. |

Thanks for the respones guys.
I also found one without making noise (eh one in my 'collection'). I tried opening one with a loose m***** but broke it - so don't try this at home By the way, wasn't there a video somewhere of someone performing this trick with two regular cardboard pieces? I wonder if it's hard to make, I suppose the m***** needs to be strong enough, but not too strong or you'l end up picking up more then one card at the time ... . Perhaps you can make this at home and use bicyclie cards with thin steel in them, like these: http://www.elmwoodmagic.com/full/card-tr......2167.htm (edit - the link doesn't seem to work, but you can look them up on the website). Anyone tried this yet? It would look far more 'normal' in my opinion. |

Killertweety I remember this cardboard version you speak of on a video also. If you really want to know I'll try and look up. I think there was also a similar marketed trick.

Sandwich Platter was apparently based on Roydon's Fantastic
