Below is a link to a 30-question test to see how well you know US Law.
Not exactly grade-school level. Give it a shot, and see how well you do!
I got a 23, but should have been a 24. Misread one question.

Supposedly 96% of all High School Seniors FAILED this test .. AND if that's not bad enough, 50+% of all individuals over 50 did too!! Take the test and be surprised at what we don't know !!!

The title and the first sentence of this thread are a bit misleading: it's more about American history than American law. Some law, to be sure, but more history.

I've never been much of a history buff, but I got 22 / 30.

Scored a 27. But I made some good guesses.

Missed 24,28 & 29.

I only got 24, because I couldn't remember all the stuff in the amendments (how many, and which did what). So in a sense, it is indeed a bit law oriented.

I also missed the question about Texas-born presidents. But I hardly think that means I should be denied American citizenship, should I ever apply for it.

Incidentally, there is now a citizenship test in Germany. Very controversial. I have taken online versions of it and passed, but it is very peculiar and very difficult. My history background helped, but the peculiarity still made me think. I had just a wee bit of difficulty with questions about classical music (Beethoven or Bach or Mozart or Wagner? Who? Who?) which seem out of place in a citizenship test. But one that also gave me difficulty (but which I guessed correctly) was the importance of 1954 in German cultural history.

Maybe some day I'll translate some of the online test and post it here, just for fun.

I scored 22, but on at least 2 questions I second guessed myself and talked my way out of the correct answer.

This looks like a citizenship test. To all you cats who are citizens of a different country, ... well done!
Will you walk into my parlour? said the Spider to the Fly,
Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy;
The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,
And I've a many curious things to show when you are there.

Oh no, no, said the little Fly, to ask me is in vain,
For who goes up your winding stair
-can ne'er come down again.

By randomly clicking on answers without reading the questions I got a 17. Better than chance Smile

30 questions with, what, wasn't it 4 answers per question?

So chance would give one about 7 or 8 questions right, quite a ways from 15 (or 17).

Hope critter bought a lottery ticket today. Smile
