In the “Buffet” Section of the Café, there is an elegant, if under-read, section called: “Notes for a Designer’s Logbook.” It’s a brilliant section filled with thoughts and ideas ranging from magical concepts, to theatrical ideas, and stagecraft information.
It’s by George Ledo-- for my money one of the most creative and original out-of-the-box thinkers here on the Magic Café. He’s solved a several major problems for me and built one of my finest props, I can attest to this guy’s genius! Well… George has had a new book published for we guys who say “Where the -%^*(#@- am I going to put all of this?” or “How am I going to get from point ‘A’ to point ‘B’ safely with this hoard of props?". “Boxes Cases and Crates or- Getting your props from here to there and back in one piece!” is crammed with George’s techniques and secrets for boxing and/or traveling with your show. He’s used his many years in the architectural field, extensive background in theatre design, time designing for Six Flags and Universal Studios, and a lifetime solving magic issues, to come up with this all. It’s got scads of theory, ideas, and sound advice with pages of CAD drawings to make everything crystal clear. If you can’t use all this practical advice, you can buy the book so he can feed his cats, okay? Santa can get the Ledo book into your stocking for $39. --and you can preview a few pages here: “Boxes Cases and Crates or- Getting your props from here to there and back in one piece!” http://www.leapinglizardsmagic.com/crate_samplef.pdf Magically, Walt |

Good grief, Walt! Thank you. That's a tough act to follow. I hope the book can live up to your comments!
Incidentally, Dean at Leaping Lizards tells me the first batch is on its way from the printer, so the book should be available really soon.
That's our departed buddy Burt, aka The Great Burtini, doing his famous Cups and Mice routine
