China, Saudi Arabia, and Iran have quite a few offenses punishable by death that have nothing to do with homicide. Until Kennedy v. Louisiana in 2007, so did the United States.

Note: China has 62 offenses that are capital in nature.

Two Saudi's were guests at our magic meeting last month, they wanted to come because they never saw a magician before.

I'v had several Saudi's in my show audiences and most of them stared wide eyed with very
mystified looks...it was fun and they were excellent tippers.

I'm not sure what happened here. The article says she was "convicted of practicing magic and sorcery." But then it goes on to say that she was "tricking" people into thinking she could cure illness. So if they knew it was a trick they couldn't have thought she was a sorceror. So was she executed for fraud or something? Or do they say she used "sorcery" to fool people into believing she could cure illness?

Apparently they executed a man in Sept for sorcery as well.

Both magic and sorcery move in mysterious ways but in opposite directions, such is the difference between them.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

I wonder if that is a bad translation. I think the Arabic word actually means "short con." Or should. Maybe "flim flam." Okay, this Jew is NOT moving to Saudi Arabia for his retirement years. Too dry.
