I have to second the review by Amira. I purchased the book recently, and already I've found several routines I can use right away. They are developed by some great names in the business. Several of the pieces alone were worth the price. If you've been thinking of incorporating the pendulum (and if you haven't...why the heck not?) this is the book for you. Personally I loved both "Kiss me Fate" and "Dr Bills Bend" and can't wait to work them into my routines.

I'm glad to hear you say that, Moderncelt.

Bill told me he was considering releasing his routine on his own -- as a separate effect. It really is more than just an effect. It's a sequence of events that have a nice building action to a "wow" moment; a system. I'm glad he chose to contribute it to this book instead.

TC Tahoe (the author of "Kiss Me Fate") has a history with tarot cards. He did a great job with this one. Simple to do. A great story. A simple system. I love the way he thinks.

Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate them.

Well I took the plunge and splurged (for me as I'm a cheapskate DIYer normally) on a gorgeous pendulum from David today. While I love all the ones on his site, this particular one enchanted me (it actually did - I thought 'I must have it'). It's not too gaudy and has a very mysterious vibe. Just like me! Boom boom! I shall be following up this purchase with a selection of the above mentioned books. I really want to check out the Bob Cassidy book as I just think his stuff is brilliant. I'm a huge fan.

Thank you for the kind words, Phil. Hagstone Seeker has begun her journey to Oz. There's something utterly wonderful about those hagstones. They just FEEL good.

It's also wonderfully rewarding to hear how that pendulum "called" to you. People say things like that over and over again. I think Rich, who makes excellent pendulums as well at Mentalcraft (http://www.mental-craft.com/) would probably agree with me that there are certain pendulums that are simply destined for specific people.

I own about a dozen pendulums -- and I use them all. But there's only one that I absolutely consider "mine." And I knew it from the very instant I saw it. That particular pendulum has been with me in every show...every close-up session. It's with me now -- right in my pocket. You are always ready to show someone something fabulous with this wee prop that doesn't require a reset or batteries...and allows magic to happen right in the spectator's hand.

I love these things. Each one has a unique "personality" -- each one is a real pleasure to "get to know."

So enjoy your pendulum when she arrives on your doorstep, Phil. And thank you very much for the kind words.
