Has anyone seen this DVD yet? It looks absolutely amazing, the transfers are phenomenal and once the changes start to happen the hands never come near each other, I'm hoping to get this sometime soon, if you bought all the gaffs separately it'd cost a lot of money, as far as I know the only places you can buy them are:
Hocus Pocus http://www.hocus-pocus.com/magicshop/?p=19504 Paul Romhany's website http://paulromhanymagic.myshopify.com/co......l-afshin and Roy Kueppers website http://www.roykueppers.com/signatureproducts.html It does look like a lot of money but if you go onto Roy's website he says just how many coins you get with it and for that price it's cheap, it's going to take me some time to get it but it's going to be worth it, and you can do a lot of stuff with those coins, including an International Matrix, it uses 3 envelopes and afterwards all the coins appear inside the last envelope. I recently met up with Michael and he showed me the routine and let me tell you, it looked absolutely amazing, I know some people here think doing an International 3 Fly is completely pointless and I've been indifferent since hearing about it, but after seeing that effect live I can honestly say that it's one of those things I'm definitely going to be using a lot. If you're unsure after watching the demo let me say that when seen live it looks absolutely phenomenal and will get some amazing reactions, depending on the routine you plan on performing you can be left completely clean and the audience can examine the coins as much as they want to. |

I now have "Menage A 3" for sale on my website at roykueppers@rocketmail.com . I have them in stock and ready to ship same day as ordered. Some Dealers and Distributors will start receiving first shipments from me by end of next week.
The DVD is awesome and well explained by Michael Afshin in excellent detail with some cool Bonus material. Eight coins are included in this set and these coins can be used for many other coin routines outside of this DVD. Check out the Trailer on my site ! Roy Kueppers |

I just took the plunge and bought a used set here at the Café. One of my main interests in it lie in the fact that 3 of the gaffes can be used in a manner similar to the C*rb*r*s gaff.
I couldn't find any reviews re: the quality of the gaffs, but Kueppers has a good reputation. I was surprised that I found so little in the way of discussion on the set. Probably due to price. I'd love to hear the thoughts of anyone who owns/has handled the set. I'll provide my own thoughts after the set arrives.

Ok, I received the gaffs and DVD for "Menage a 3"
I suppose I shouldn't go too far into exactly what gaffs are used, but I will say that 3 of the gaffs definitely can be used to made an off-beat, half dollar version of the Cerberus gaff. Most who are familiar with coin effects/gaffs will be able to look at the promo/demo, widely available, online, so I won't go too much into detal. About the dvd, there was a negative, and a couple of plusses. The negative was that it was music only. There was no voice in the main teaching session of the dvd, so it was very much 'learn by watching'. However, this was more irritating to me, personally, than it was instrumental in any way. You learn the routine, then you don't need the dvd, technically. So not a really big deal. It did take longer to teach it that way, and I missed a bit of interpersonal action with Michael. On the other hand, there were a couple of nice bonus effect, which were taught very competently by Michael and his voice The gaffs I rated a little above Johnson quality. There was a bit more play in a couple of the gaffs than I like, but a tiny strip of teflon along a couple of places took care of that easily enough. Other than that, I was pleased. Had I paid the $250 price tag, I think I would have felt I did not get enough value for the money. I purchase this second-hand (but like new) from a member here fairly close to his original asking price. Seemed fair to me.

That coin set seems to make a breeze of more than half the hard coinwork needed when doing a VCA. And I like the the use of Chinese gift envelops for a coin trick. Good going
...to all the coins I've dropped here

Chessman,
any concern with "noisy" coins since they have "play" in them? I know you place "t..." inside, but is there still noise from the inside edges? caL

No, what little noise was taken care of.
But... While this isn't Lassen standard, it is still good quality stuff. The noise was in no way major - no more so than you would find in other good quality manufacturers.

Thx for the review. Have you tried out any of David neighbors routines yet? He has a booklet out on Cerberus.

Not really, I got his Coinjurer DVD but never use any of the routines from it, don't really feel it's my type of coin magic.

I would recommend you check out David neighbors booklet and DVD on Cerberus.
David has the monopoly on this gaff and he shows that the sky is the limit. :)

@Atom3339 I don't mind gaff coins, I've got a ton of them and love every single one of them except for 1, the Coin Bomber, never really liked that one at all, but my favorite one's are the one's Michael taught me, we're friends and he's got some amazing stuff he does with coins.
@Calvin Tong, I'm planning on getting one as soon as I get some cash flowing my way, then I'll pick up a few things from him. |

Hektor, if you ask Roy Kueppers I'm sure he would make you a set in dollar coins. Might be a bit pricey though considering the half dollar set is $250.
