I found some old movies "Judge Dred" and "The Running Man" and watched both of them today. Great movies. Loved the moral of the stories in both of those movies. Both of those movies were great pieces of Art.

I wish they'd made "The Long Walk" into a movie.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley.

Are you being sarcastic? At least with Judge Dredd? I'm hoping the new one doesn't butcher the source material.

No, I am being serious. I liked both movies. When is the new one coming out? I haven't read the novel on "The Running Man." Is there a book or comic on Judge Dredd?

Yes, the English magazine 2000AD is the first published source for the ongoing comic strip Judge Dredd.
The movie cites the magazine and also the ABC Warriors (the war robot character) and even has some artwork from the strip in the credits.

If you like that kind of thing he's also had crossover stories with Batman Smile

Stallone was trying to recreate his success in "The Demolition Man" with "Judge Dredd." Pity, because the character was totally different.

The Running Man is one of my favorite movies (I have at least 4 copies of the movie on DVD). It bothered me a lot that the guy used his real name when purchasing both his train ticket and his airline ticket. He should have been able to get away clean if he just used a little common sense but then again, there wouldn't be much of a movie if he did things right. Fun movie.

I like Stallone and all his movies. Have you seen the trailer for Expendables 2? Chuck Norris is in that one.

I have to ask. You have "at least" 4 copies of the movie. You can't keep an accurate count? And why 4 of them on DVD?

I'm curious, too. Are a couple of them scratched up or something?

I have several different versions of a couple movies. For me it's because they release new special editions with new special features and/or added scenes. I only have one copy of Running Man though.

Hard to imagine they would make more than one.

I have multiple copies of all my favorite movies because I have a habit of giving them away to Family and Friends.

At the time the "commercial" DVD was not available so I purchased a "bootleg" copy. Homemade DVD's have a habit of going bad after a while (at least that has been my experience).

My first copy of the movie "Houdini" starring Tony Curtis was also a "bootleg" but I have since purchased several commercial copies of that fine but inaccurate depiction of Harry Houdini's life.

Correction!

I pulled out my "Running Man" discs to find that my bootlegs are titled "Running Man" but my commercial copies are labeled "Night Of The Running Man". I just got used to calling it running man because that is what I knew it as for so long.

I believe what is refered to as "Running Man" on this site is actually "The Running Man".

I thought this was about the Andrew McCarthy and Scott Glenn movie (my error).

No Blue Ray Yet. The DVDs are to expensive. If I don't have a Blu-Ray then I won't buy the DVD. It's Cheaper to Download the HD from Verizon.

Now 3D....Hmmmmm That another Possibility.
