Hi guys,
I am a collector of magic and recently come across an 'as new' Tenyo 'Jumbo Side Track' by Hiroshi Kondo. Although I am a collector I do not collect Tenyo items. This is in pristine condition with original instructions and packaging and is in great working order. In fact, just examining it, it has probably only been used once or twice! Is this a valuable Tenyo item and if so would one of you like to make me an offer? |

Oh, these are a dime a dozen. Not worth more than a few bucks. I'll take it off your hands for say...$10?
No, seriously, these are rare and fetch a high price, generally about $130 to $175 (legitimately, that is. There have been higher prices on eBay, but those have been questioned as the result of illegal shill bidding). |

For those longing for a Side Track (but whose pesky common sense prevents them from dropping the big bucks), there is another non-Tenyo trick very similar to Side Track that I think is even a little more impressive called Mis-made Queen. With this, you can actually stick your hand through the missing slot (whereas with Side Track it remains in the case during the magic).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihcSybR3I8w These have also been discontinued but can still be found as surplus in online magic shops (at a fraction of what Side Track goes for). There is one currently available in the "for sale or trade" section: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......rum=76&3 |

Totally agree, with Side Track the spectator can slide the middle of the card from the frame and then on completion of the effect the card can be examined.

Being able to examine the card after the trick definitely is a big plus for Side Track (I didn't know that).

The one that just went up on eBay has a big crack in it.
