Hey
l do a lot of mentalism and pk effects
and knowing I have never tried hypnotising in any way
I want to add some workable bits (!) of hypnosis to my work

I agree with Mindpro, Hypnosis isn't a 'bit' or 'effect'. However, as a mentalist It's an important and intriguing study on its own.
Cheers

thank you for the advice Kenton Knepper is amazing
l understand what you trying to say about hypnosis
but what l meant by "bits" is that iam not willing to specialize in hypnosis
or be doing long demonstrations

Hypnosis without Trance is still hypnosis, Maximon... and so will require work and commitment.
If you are looking for some faux-hypnosis-- Paul Voodini has a great eBook on pseudo-hypnotic effect with playing cards.

Ah! Thank you for the clarification. As a mentalist, I have certainly been in the same boat as you. I do perform hypnosis- but I much prefer my shows to consist of MOSTLY mentalism. Like you inferred, there IS such a thing as a short demonstration of hypnosis.

As pointed out it is still hypnosis, but it does satisfy your requirement to do this without sign of trance or sleep.

If there is anyone out there (outside the group that like to bum each other in their wee cartel)who can tell me HOW some hypno guy of the modern age IS a genius. I'm right here, waiting patiently. Sitting on my throne gazing upon my reflection in my wall to wall mirror. But the phone probably won't ring.

If genius is revolutionising a field, adding a substantial body of work and creating a new way of looking at a subject, which both informs and improves the field, then the only name which springs to mind in the hypnosis world is Richard Bandler.

As for good, solid training products which do innovate and deliver on their promises, Sir Anthony would need to be on anybody's list. His products are excellent and he is extremely accessable to his students, by phone, email or on one of the many fora. Plus he is a good guy.

I purchased HWT a day or two ago and am currently working my way throught the material. When I have absorbed and field-tested the approach I shall report back here!
