Has any body seen the video? Rising Card Miracle - Dr. Schwartz. I just seen it on Emagic and looks nice. And only 125.00 for all it does. A must see. Cant wait for reviews on this one.

I find it also very interesting.
I have however, still some questions. The "principle" is the same as the Devano. (the mechanics are different) As I understand, to "start" this principle, you have to do the same movement. So, what is the difference (benefit)between the old Devano and this? |

I have noticed that most online magic suppliers seem to be out of stock of this item.

I am SUCH a sucker for rising card tricks. I kept looking and I discovered that Hank Lee had one listed on the web site and the shopping cart let me purchase one. (I hated to have to order from HL, as I have had multiple experiences where they showed a product online but were actually out of the item. Here is hoping they ACTUALLY have one.
The descriptions that I have read explain the method fairly openly. When I do receive mine I will share reactions here. |

I have had this for a number of years. I am a fan of Martin`s mechanical decks and have a number in my collection. It is a clever deck and the gravity switch is a nice touch. My favorite Martin deck is his Cobra deck which is my favorite hands off Haunted Deck. Hopefully he will release it again.

I have the original P. Cinimod Cobra Deck, the Schwartz one and the Kikuchi version as well. I am excited to add this one to my aggregation.

Well, turns out I was right! I got a message from Hank Lee this morning telling me that despite the fact that the web site showed the item as in stock and it allowed me to make the order, they were OUT of stock and anticipating the delivery. I immediately canceled my order and located it on the Hocus Pocus site (someone with whom I have never had any trouble) and ordered it from there. I even got it $30 dollars CHEAPER! Soooooo, a heads up to those of you who might be planning to order one of these decks soon.

Good to know. Thanks. I never did like dealing with Hank Lee. But that's just me.

The saga continues (but ends with a GOOD customer service experience.) I ordered from Hocus Pocus and got an eMail message telling me THEY were out of the trick as well. They further told me that they had just contacted the supplier and they would have them in stock and shipped tomorrow! So, they went the extra mile and I emerged from the saga a happy and increasingly loyal customer.

Will be interested to hear your thoughts on the deck Rhett. It is clever but for some reason I have never really perfromed with it. As mentioned above have used the Cobra deck on many ocassions.

For anyone that has or is getting this deck, the Mikame card houlette is perfect for this. The Mikame houlette is not gaffed, but simply a beautifully made wooden houlette to hold a poker sized deck. Placing this deck in this houlette allows you to re-create a classical looking rising card effect, hands off. You will find the card will rise up, slowly tilt to the side and then fall to the table. Looks quite nice. It is easy to activate the deck by simply tilting the houlette as you place it on the table. I have also found I can activate the deck by tapping it with my fore finger (apparently squaring the deck in the houlette) Picking up the houlette and naturally tilting it to remove the last card stops the mechanism. Thanks to this post I have started working with this deck again.

Rhett never got back on how this deck turn out.
I believe the same deck is available and I was wondering on the quality. Nice to have a review on this item. |

It may be back in stock soon, according to Murphy's, and if so I will have them in stock as well.
Does anyone know how many single cards are in the deck? Todd
