Hm. That's interesting. Hard to judge just watching it in a video. But I bet it lands when you do it, as you say, on the offbeat. I'm going to give it a go. Why not?

I've seen a few of your videos - you are obviously a skilled performer.
I would be a bit stunned if this fooled anyone with a pulse. Why would the fork be the wrong way? etc.

Having said that, fair play for sharing your ideas.

I can assure you this works... it's not a moment that can have too much focus, it is meant to be performed casually to make your dinner guest do a double-take.
