Just wondering who has holes in the back of their figure's clothing to insert their hand and if you don't why not? What type of clothing do you prefer on your figure?

I have cut holes in my figure's clothing. It looks better from the front.

I always cut a slit in the back of the shirt, if they had a sweater or jacket on over the shirt, I usually just out my hand under that.

Yes I'm always inclined to do the shirt or t-shirt but not the coat, sweater or vest. Mainly because I don't want the back of my figure displaying a gaping hole in his back Smile

I always cut the shirt and coat or whatever the figure is wearing and sew it so it doesn't go any farther. I've tried not doing it, but it always looks like it's pulling from the front. I suspect it may be wherever the maker locates the controls though. My Coats figures controls are located closer to the top of the stick than say my Boley figure so I may be able to get away with going under the coat for that one.

Yeah. Some are cut, some aren't. Depends on the controls and the looseness of the clothes.

I never do. I just reach under the back of the shirt. Never had a problem with it.

If I use vintage clothing on a figure I never cut but if it is a new purchase I will use pinking shears to make the cut which eliminates the cloth from fraying. I will also cut the fabric with flaps and use fabric glue and glue the flaps inward to make a nice clean edge. After the glue dries just iron and you are done. This method works very well and is clean and gives a nice acess to the control post.
