You will not regret the purchase one bit.
This book is a treasure trove. I've been doing magic for 14 years and already I've learned a LOT about how to improve everything from double lifts, top changes and coin vanishes to sleeving, voice projection and preparing an act. Priceless. Great job Ian.

As the first person here to indorse this book http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/searc......=7349782 I've got to say, this is to important a book to come out in this format, although I bought it anyway, it NEEDS to be a hard bound book ,sold in magic shops.

Hi NFW, nearly, it's the automatic jog control on page 99. It's brilliant how it just works every time.
What do you think of Ian's new book. I keep finding something new and useful every time I open it.

If anyone is at Blackpool this weekend and would like to have a browse through the book, I'll probably have a copy with me. I'm fairly easy to find

I've just arrived in Blackpool. I brought one book with me to read on the journey. Guess which one

The sort of "hands-on" book where you need to go through everything step-by-step, with props in your hand, needs to stay open in front of you - either hardback or ring-bound. That's a shame. The text layout was a hangover from the magazine layout (which is a different page size); I'm not ecstatic about it, but it doesn't affect the experience. Personally, I like books that look like they have been read, and not just left on the shelf.

Ian
My book looks like it's been read 100 times (that's because it has!). It does lie flat-ish as I've bent the heck out of the spine. I agree that this book needs to be used, not stay on a shelf. It is currently my favourite book, and I have hundreds. I'm learning a lot from it and I thought I already knew quite a bit. Highly recommended. Jamie

Purchased the book last week and its fantastic.
I love the look and feel of the book, as for me its like a big text book on magic, thus I don't feel guilty for highlighting and making notes on the pages. I would not hesitate to purchase a hardback version if it comes available. I am very surprised that none of the great magic publishers have not jumped in and published this great book. There is something for everyone within the pages of Ian's book. Well worth the price. |

Thank you for the comments!
Triv; the big publishers didn't take this one because none of them knew about it (and possibly still don't!) I love the fact you are taking notes in the book - that's what it's _for_ Ian |

What size is the book? A4 or so? I'll buy a copy anyway, but wondering about it as a travel read
