Richard Kaufman over at the Genii forum reported that Tony Giorgio passed away at the age of 88.
I only met Tony a handful of times over the years, but always enjoyed the time and information that he shared. He'll be missed. Jason

Very sad indeed.
A while back, I downloaded and bound all of Tony's Genii columns......contained within are amazing things! To be expected, as he led an amazing life. RIP Tony......deepest sympathies to his family. |

That's a real shame, there is not many of the old school left today.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

"I should have begun making DVDs long before the birth of the countless expose artists who know little or nothing about card and dice hustling; they're usually magicians." - Tony Giorgio.
I wish he had, I wanted to see his dice DVD in the worst way. It's a shame. |

Tony's rumored dice DVD was the only thing I ever "wished" would get made and released.
I mean......can you imagine?........! |

I mean......can you imagine?........! It would have been awesome. The handmucking DVD is a masterpiece. I have no doubt the Ultimate Work on dice would have been one of, if not the very best, DVD on the subject. |

RIP Tony. You were a real old-timer when it comes to gambling knowledge and lived a fabulous life. You shared a lot but regretfully left us too soon.

I just saw the Sting II last month and laughed when I saw him as one of the hoods. He will forever be known as the guy who helped clip Luca Brasi, lol

Thinking of Tony, I just watched the absolutely brilliant "Ultimate Work" DVD's again.......he was an incredibly classy guy with a wry sense of humor, seeming most apparent in his poetry......if you've got the DVD's you'll understand

I first came to know of Tony Giorgio when he played in an A-Team episode. I already liked him. Later I learned he was an reformed gambler and a great technician who had superb expertise in the field of Gambling etc.
R.I.P. Tony, keep on mucking! |
