I don't expect hand-outs (not at this point anyway.)
I'd just like to see Jim get my $$$ (instead of Murphy's or some other magi dealer.) It's easy to set-up a web-site with paypal, you should look into it (for both yourself and Cellini.) But heck, who am I to tell you how to distribute your (Cellini's) work? RE: Contacting me I rarely answer the phone these days (unless you're an agent.) Don't take it personal... I'm online all the time: Next time, try a PM or an email... |

Hi James!
I hope and trust all is well; it's a great thing you're hitting (and/or stroking) the pavement. |

Thanks, Eric! You were a big inspiration for me. Hope you are planning on a return visit. When you do, you can use my sound system on the prominade! The only catch is you have to keep showing me more of your amazing card work.
Your pal, Jim

JamesinLA - I watched Jim do his ring routine on the street in Denver last summer. If there ever was an angle-sensitive bit that seems like it would be it. Needless to say, it killed. So I guess you could say it's possible for him to do this stuff on the street. As for me, I'm trying to get the half dozen or so things I do down and something like Cellini's ring routine will have to wait... until my next lifetime.
This DVD is a must have for me. If you make it to the Denver area, I've got a good pitch all staked out for you! -Bill
That's MISTER Swami Bill to you.

Anyone know when this will be available from the dealers? I've e-mailed Koz couple of times to get a mailing address to send the money but no response.
Thanks Gene |

Re: "Doug Conn is setting up a website for Cellini"
Ted, You may be jumping the gun on that announcement... The correct way to put it is: "Doug Conn is trying to find a good way to distribute the Cellini product line." Cellini wants me to handle his entire 'business.' I'm considering that option... but I'm thinking of a few others as well (such as having Jim's son set up the 'Cellini store'). Between being a father of 3, a performer, an artist and a computer geek, I'm concerned that I wouldn't have the time and/or energy to properly promote the product. My original idea was to set up a web-site for the loop ball dvds (and only those). That will probably happen... Did you bring the DVD's (as requested by Cellini)? Not 5 or 6... (I'm talking 50-100.) |

How about Cellini having his own Ebay store?

"How about Cellini having his own Ebay store?"
That's the idea... I'm thinking of setting up a site with paypal. An ebay store is another good idea. Here's the scoop: I'm willing to help distribute (retail) Jim's loop ball dvd's (and to help set-up his site for other products). The problem I'm having is that I don't want to run the store forever (until I get rid of a few kids, I simply don't have the time...). An Open Note: Cellini is willing to share a considerable % of sales to someone willing to undertake the retail distribution of his products (DVD's, Tables, Pouches, Loops Balls, etc.). If anyone is (TRULY) interested in helping out with a retail web-site (and perhaps making a few bucks) drop me a line: connjure@hotmail.com |

The advantage to an eBay store is that you have a reansonbly large audience.
The disadvantage is that unless you are careful, you will drop the "market price" if too much stuff ends up going at auction below market, as opposed to fixed price in the store. And I think this could happen becuase most of the ebay types wont know who Cellini is.... Just a thought.... BroDavid

I don't like doing business on ebay. I would recommend setting up a regular website that takes credit cards.
Also where can I find a loop ball? Thanks Big Jeff |

From Cellini....
Or possibly from others, but I don't know of any. Or, frankly, if you want something a bit different (I would never have considered it if I had not seen the DVD), buy Joe Carson's Chinese Egg Bag, which I think you can find at some dealers, will give you a different routine, and a different "gimmick." You can do all of the loop ball moves with the egg, and you can do the egg bag with the ball. But I plan on using my Cellini loop ball in a ball routine, and an "egg bag" routine. BroDavid

Does it show him perform these in a street setting?

Seeing Cellini perform in any venue is downright magical!
Having now worked very hard on the loop ball, and normal ball routines, and seeing how bad my efforts look next to what I see from Cellini just heightens my respect for him. He is awesome! My favorite shot of him is the little vignet at the beginning of the Art of Street Performing I, where Cellini does the TT for a little kid, and the look of astonishment on that kid's face was priceless. That is exactly the look I want to get from every spectator; Eyes wide open as big as saucers, and jaw dropped to the floor...... And he turns to father, as if to say, "DID YOU SEE THAT?" Cellini does it all with so little apparent effort, and so magical a result. You gotta love him! BroDavid

I saw his lecture in San Francisco.
It was a very magical experience and I don't mean "magic tricks." Before the lecture or at a break, I can't remember.... I stood on the porch outside the venue listening to him talk about Slydini to others. (I personally don't like to bombard a lecturer with questions, antecdotes, and blah blah blah. I just listen.) He talked about how he cried when Slydini told him he was the best he'd ever seen. There was no over-the-top tired efforts at humor. No joke machine. No sucker tricks to make the magicians laugh at themselves. Instead of the jokes, the atmosphere of the whole place was quite touching. Especially his closer... The 2-ring routine to "Somewhere over the Rainbow" I genuine tear-jerker.
