Interested in hearing some opinions (good or bad) of my new biz card. This is the "final draft" before print. My goal was to keep the card simple with out a lot of text. This is who I am and then drive interested folks to my website. What do you think...?

The card looks great but do you think you might confuse people by having the space between your first and last name. Since that's your URL the space will make it not work. To you and me it might be obvious that it should be one word but to many people they might not know that.

I love the lighting on the letters.

If people don't understand that it should be one word then they don't understand how to use the internet anyway.

Maybe not but they may have money and want to hire a magician so PCoreyB is right.

If nothing a funny idea mite be a photo of you turned around with the exact same layout .

I don't like it. I'm not sure why though.

I would keep the space there - it makes it easier to read.

If people do enter the space, they will be taken to their search engine with that as the search phrase. And if you check Google, you are the #1 listing for "christopher lyle.com".

That is a great idea and one that was mentioned to me by someone else. I think maybe my new 4x6 post card will have that on it. Here's the back of the card:

Works for me and I agree with the right email address without spaces.

I like the picture and I love the idea of a reverse picture on the rear.Boy will people remember that and if you are in their card holder, even if only the back is available, they will still know your card when they see it.

Not so keen on the balloon ad on the back though. I think that needs a different card or different writing on the same base picture. You shouldn't make your card try to do too much - Marketing 101

Alright, so I got rid of the space in my URL. Sadly, the font that I used for it only has CAPS so to make it more defined and easier to read, I made the first letter of my first and last name a tad larger so it would be easier on the eyes.



Any other comments? I think this may be a winner...

It does not gel. I look at it and it looks cheap. The text the background and your picture I am not feeling it. They don't compliment each other. Now the back of the card that looks great I really like it!

Although I'm currently working in the field, I do have a background in graphic communication. I LOVE it. The one thing that I noticed is your pic is showing slightly more than half of your face. Is there a reason? I like it either way.

MANY years ago, a guy in our local club designed his own card. It declared that he SPECIALIZED in close-up magic, mentalism, children's parties, emcee work blah blah blah blah....it also had a rabbit coming out of a hat and 4 aces for his logo. NONE of which fit his character at all. You seem to have overcome that issue perfectly. I'm from the LESS IS MORE school. My card is all black and white on very high end stock. My logo on one side, name, website and phone # on the other. The logo perfectly depicts my character and conveys what type of clientele I'm after. I think yours does the same.
