None of the local craft or fabric stores carry what I want. I would like a gold or silver fringe to trim my tablecloths with. Perhaps 4 to 6 inch long strands, like the trims used on some of the floating carpet illusions. It is not stiff, but has a nice flowing appearance to it.
If someone knows a web site where I can buy it, it would be much appreciated. Mike

I saw some at Jo-Ann Fabrics a few weeks ago.

My father was an uphoslterer before he retired and he used that stuff a lot. Try your local upholsterer and see if he can sell you a few feet.
Upholsterers refer to it as gimp (not the plastic gimp from craft stores). Hope this helps.

Thank for the tips. I will look for gimp and take another look at my local Jo-Anns.
While I was searching the web for Gimp, I found a picture of what I want. It is called chainette fringe. I thank you for your responses, otherwise I never would have found it. Mike
