Update about 'Keep the Boards in the Coney Island Boardwalk-No Concrete! and Save the Rainforests' on Change.org

Hi All,
UPDATE: The Parks Department has once again postponed the date- February 21st.- they had said they would present their plan for the Boardwalk before the NYC Design Commission seeking it's approval! We have no idea why they have now done this twice. However, what we need to do is to maintain our focus, continue our efforts, including getting more people to sign our petition, inviting more new people to join with us, attempting to get groups and organizations of various kinds to lend their support, and remaining committed ourselves, as well as encouraging our friends to do the same, to showing up for the hearing at the Design Commission, whenever it is confirmed that it will take place.
Indeed, if this is a tactic to have us burn out and to dissuade us from showing up when the date is confirmed, let's strengthen our resolve to be there and disappoint them! Not only that, but with each delay, let's attempt to each get a new person or two to come with us to the hearing as well!
The next possible date that they may choose to go before the Design Commission is Monday, March 12th. Please try and clear the date and save it! Once again, we'll only know for sure the week before.
They cannot endlessly postpone, so this third time round may well be the time they actually present again.
Of course these delays are difficult for all of us, what with juggling work and family considerations. However, seen in perspective and remembering the value of what we're fighting for, the hassles and inconveniences imposed as the result of these delays, might hopefully then be experienced by each of us, as relatively insignificant in the end.
Thanks for all of our efforts thus far, and let's push on-that's the only way we'll achieve our goal of a Boardwalk, and not a sidewalk!
