I've talked with quite a few wallet afficionados and finally decided on the "O'Connell Plus Wallet" It's a real beauty and for what it accomplishes, you can't beat it!

What's your comments on the Billfold Wallet? I'm thinking of getting it but I need some opinions first. It's not cheap for me.

I've been using Jerry's wallets for the past twelve years, and I still think they are the best on the market.
I've got a standard wallet (circa 1992) which noone has ever questioned, a billfold wallet (circa 1995) which is my day to day wallet, and full sized Himber (and I've had two others as well; another standard and a Himber). To give Jerry his due (again) in 1993 I had my wallet dipped from my jacket one day (and gosh, did _that_ p1ss me off) but I needed it for gigs on the next three or four nights. I phoned Jerry up and asked if he had another. He said he had one, and put it in the post before I had sent my cheque saying 'if I can't trust you now, when can I?' I got through that night without, but the new wallet arrived the next day I also have an O'Connell unique - Jerry gave me a business card wallet that he made as a prototype and as far as I know, they never made it into production. It's sitting on my desk next to me right now. Thanks Jerry! Take care, Ian Who has _no_ financial connection to Jerry. |

I am Jerry O Connells' illigitimate son. Funny how we met, I loved his stuff, saw it at an FFFF gathering in the 90s. Two of the other dealers there were hot on Jerry to be the USA rep. I never asked, just had fun there, and we became instant friends. Jerry said he had been watching me and loved the way I could demo, and more importantly, the way I treated customers. The rest is history, and Jerry is one of my closest friends. We are the same, we stand un-conditionally behind what we believe in. There is no finer wallet on the market. And I could ask for no finer friend.

Hi All,
I can't belive this topic is still around! I bought a wallet off Jerry years ago now and since then we became good friends. So much so that I sell his card cases to other magicians and when I lecture etc. He has amazing quality items and I can't reccomend them enough! Nost of the top proffessional magicians in Britian use a Jerry O'Connell card case for that professional look! I own 5 for personal use. I have also bought one from Craig and both guys are great people and very friendly! In Magic Steve Dela |

Jerry's Mini Himber looks really nice.
I'm just looking for a simple, easy to peek, small wallet, for mentalism effects. Would it suffice ? I too bought a O Connell Super Plus Wallet from Craig at the IBM British Convention 3 years ago. After using it for some time now, the wallet became kind of worn out and flimsy, also I am experiencing the leather sticking together (which makes the Mullica Wallet loading more difficult) . Maybe its the weather here in Singapore . Any tips on maintaining the wallet? Thanks!
Regards, Jeremy |
