Submarine And Periscope is a brilliant piece of close-up magic from Spain's Magi Anton.

You won't believe this! You are at a table with your friends, at your favorite restaurant or bar. You offer to show them something they will never forget.

One of your friends chooses a card from the deck and loses it in a small packet of cards.

You take this packet and form a circle at the center of the table.

Next, you place someone's drink (straw and all) in the middle of the circle. The straw will act as the periscope from which the submarine (the glass) will spot the enemy ship (the chosen card). Nice metaphor, eh?

You concentrate and the straw begins to move slowly inside the glass. Suddenly, you all realize it has stopped right next to a card...yes! It is the chosen card!

This is but one of the countless applications for this new gimmick. The glass and the straw can be borrowed!
