My favourite is the Dis-obedient wand, closely followed by the Tipsy wand. In 3rd place comes the breakaway.

Hi,
On the subject of wands I have several unusual ones that I got from Warren Stephens there in the States. Does anyone have any contact details for him, as I would like to buy some spares for when these wear out? Phillip |

Credit goes to many Café members who have contributed to the different variations of wands.
I do have a large collection of wands but not all the one's listed above.

WOW!
Thanks for the comments everyone Den - that list was incredible! I don't know where to start......! Cliff I have been told that the wobbly wand that appears in the Terry Herbert DVD is made by Warren Stephens - Does anyone know where I could get one from? Does Warren Stephens have a web site / email address or is he only contactable via mail re: address given by magicbyswh. Thanks Cliff |

Some of the current wands you will find in my various shows include: multiplying wands, breakaway wand, fishing pole wand, stretching wand, colour changing wand, popaway wand, spring wand, party popper wand, squeeker wand, jumbo surprise wand, vanishing wand to streamers, boy to rabbit wand, "secret" wand, and a giveaway wand.
I think that Den now has an even longer list of wands, posted on the KidAbra forum, on a thread he started. Wow! I really appreciate all the work he put into this list and that one. Thanks, Den! - Donald

What are some of the funny and unique ways in which you use your comedy wands? It might be fun to see different ways that we as entertainers use comedy wands to get the most out of their entertainment value.

I use the breakaway wand, Silly Billy Balloon Wand, Feather Duster Wand, and the 8ft appearing wand. They all work well.

I try the P-L Vanishing Wand as an opener and wow did it get results . I did a bit of change on the routine but basely use as the trick was meant to be. I was surprize that even the adults at this show ,Kid Show, love it . Will be using in the future.

Is this done to music or a part of a bigger opener for you?

Kyle,
I didn't do it to music ,I started with a story about when I was very young and wanted to become a magician I was sent to a great teacher who at the very first gave me my own wand. I then tell them being young and not knowing better made a joke about the painted stick the teacher took my wand and made it vanish and that when I knew I mess up and therefore whithout my wand I would never be a magi cian ,then my teacher smile and make my wand reappear ,I have had this wand ever since and then go into the next trick. What is nice you can relate to the fact you were about there age .One little girl stopped the show when it reappear ,she busted out with it magic it really magic.I had to smile nad everyone love it.Alton |
