This entire discussion about who's who has gotten tiresome. Frankly, I'm more concerned with the substantive aspect of the material being proffered, rather than the personality who may, or may not, be behind it. I'm really interested in what others think of the routines and the thinking which went into their creation.

I was doing a little light reading last night and came across Paul Romhany's Magic Square and what I read was so delightful. I've been looking for a Magic Square type effect of this simplicity for years, however in my search I have not found one quick enough as an opener. "No Brainer Magic Square" was just what the Doctor ordered.(its one of those chuckle on the inside reads). There have been many different type of (Cubes & Squares) but this was great. Patrick Kuffs had an amazing idea with a color being forced by the cube after being randomly mixed and Paul went another route with have numbers being used. I really don't want to give to much away here... this is will fit great with any Random Possibilities or What are The Odds ploys. Easy to do, quick in the pace, great as an opener. Thanks Paul for contributing this, this is what I've been looking for.
Respectfully. Love & Light my Magickal Brothers |

I've seen the Black and White books on eBay at prohibitive prices, and would like to know if I can purchase a set anywhere else that may still have them in stock at retail ?

Black and White books were limited releases, as is the "Friends" book.
Would be nice if the were re-released in hard bound editions. Or maybe as a combined hard bound edition (the Gray book???). Just thinking out loud to make my library shelf a little more cohesive. Just re-read Rohmany's Magic Square and it is indeed genius.

Correction....the "Friends" book is not a limited release.
But the Black and White books were. I'm not one to read a book cover to cover. I read the index and goes to what catches my eye. I got a lot of gold out of these three books and just ordered the latest Scryer release. Can't wait to dig into that as well.

Finally had an opportunity to really dive into the "Carnival" book. Am up to page 53. Two of Neal's effects, "Three Objects Over the Phone" and "Pendulum Svengali," are dynamite. I don't know where this guy gets his ideas, but I'm glad that he's willing to share his real work with us. Don't know if it's true, but I've been given to believe that each copy has been cleverly encrypted in such a way as to deter any attempts at pirating.

My main question is, how alike is this book with the black and white ones? Same sort of feel and approach?
Its just that I didn't really like the other ones. I know that I am in the minority though. |

NYNick: Don't flatter your self mate... no one is really wondering who you are. And, we already know what you are trying to do... Happy to be wrong though so... carry on telling us how much you love Neal's work. Which effect, from which book, is your favourite?
StJohn: Neal's work isn't for everyone... agreed. Im kind of happy about that though Scryer and Friends has a number of presentations from Neal, along similar lines as B&W books. The contributions from his friends, however, vary greatly. Some are more mainstream mentalism, others are more for readers... etc. It is a real mixed bag. Some of the contributions, do not resonate with me... but others have completely changed the way I think about certain elements of mentalism. Hard to say wether you would like it or not mate... but, I love it. |

No Paul I think I could answer you but it would not be enough. My guide tells me you would ask more. I don't want to answer your challenges. Hope that is ok.

Now maybe you guys will stop responding to this troll. If you don't give him the attention he craves he will lose interest and live his fantasy life elsewhere. |

I was at Saratoga Race Course this past weekend. Instead of betting the horses, I read more of Scryer and Friends and...
1. I found two more effects that I like and 2. It stopped me from betting on some of the races and losing more money than I did.
