Some of you might be interested in my new plans for a "swinging" spirit bell, which you can find in the magictronics section of Spellbinder's site http://www.magicnook.com
It requires a bit of soldering but it's mostly a woodwork project. I used oak for mine - there's a video here

I think I like the string one best, it seems to play off of a more simplicity factor which makes it seem more amazing. Thoughts?

Personally (as the maker) I prefer the second one - I think it's more practicable for a real life performance and also for more challenging environments. But I'd prefer it if the methods were not discussed in an open forum!
