Agree, Pakar. It has gotten to be a sad, mean and dangerous world. Some will say it is just because we know about it now, that it always has been. I find that hard to believe. I don't know if I am a certifiable paranoid, but I am WAY more cautious these days. RIP indeed, for we are all victims...

Understood. But as I understand it, holding that belief helps encourage a skillful man to behave "as if" it were true, and thereby treat them with the respect they deserve, and not as "straw dogs."

And I, yours. The disconnect between beliefs and actions is sometimes taken to be an indication that the "real" beliefs of the actors may not be what they consciously express. There are, however, other explanations.
