Hi Guys,
I have a quick question, regarding Extreme Burn and Easy Money. Please could someone who has used both Patrick Pages Easy Money and Richard Saunders Extreme Burn tell me which one they think is best and why. E.g If you think Extreme Burn 2.0 then please tell me what advantages it has over Easy Money. Thank you in advance for all your help. TS |

They are both basically the same kind of effect and require a similiar setup, but EB2.0 comes with a special something that allows the effect to be performed in a more visual manner.
As an aside... While they are both fantastic effects, I no longer perform either. At this point the methods are much too easily to come by with even the most basic of Google searches (try paper to money trick). Perform this effect, and they'll be on their smart phones as soon as you walk away. Just my opinion. |

Thanks Calvin, that's most helpful. So extreme burn is more visual and that is it's main benefit.

You can never go wrong with extreme burn. It's simply looks like trick photography every time you perform it and nobody is going to find the method with any google search. Pat page effect is out there sure but extreme burn is different. It's the audience reaction that counts anyway. One should never be afraid of if a google search will reveal a method.

Yes, extreme burn is much more visual, and due to the added gimmick involved, more "clean" imo when the change happens. It's a super quick visual change with no "moves" or cover. It is the best.

Thanks guys that's very helpful. It looks like I'll have to pick up Extreme Burn 2 then, although I have just heard of a new change by Justin Miller where the visual change of all the bills happens in the spectators hands and they can examine all the bill as much as they want. The video trailer looks pretty good.

I would go with Extreme Burn 2.0. If examinable concerns you, Richard shows a wonderful method where the bills are examinable at the conclusion of the effect. Honestly, I use EB constantly and I do not find it necessary to hand out the bills. No one ever asks to see them.

Calvin: I have NEVER seen someone take out a smart phone, iPad or laptop and try to find out the methodology of a trick in my presence. Or maybe I am just clueless. What someone does at home thereafter is of no concern to me. What percentage of the population actually does that? It would seem to be those who just do not like magic and can not stand being fooled or those that are interested in magic. In any event, who cares? The methodology for every effect with any worthwhile impact can be found with a computer search if the searcher is at all familiar with the internet. If the decision whether or not to perform the effect is whether the method can be found online, what are we left with to perform? Convoluted mathematic card tricks that no one cares about? No thanks.
Back on topic, Extreme Burn 2.0 is the way to go. Make it a little harder to find the methodology by NOT saying : "I am now going to perform a illusion created by Richard Sanders - that's S-A-N-D-E-R-S. It is called Extreme Burn 2.0" |

However, you can only hand out the notes for inspection AFTER the change has taken place. One note is gimmicked. I recommend it. Very simple, easy to perform and very visual. I still love EB 2.0 though!

Back in the '70's I used to perform Patrick Page's version made famous by Fred Kaps, when Gregory Wilson released Hundy 500, like many I began doing that version. Recently I have begun using Extreme Burn. it truly is the most visual and startling change.

Everyone has their own preferences on the easy money effect. Personally I like Hundy 500 by Greg Wilson, with one change, I use the transformation from 3D cash.
