Hi.
Just wondering what some of your favorite card effects is with some of the most common card gaffs, like double face, double back, red/blue back, blank card etc? Daniel |

Practically every routine in Dan Harlan's "A Little R&B" for r/b
John Bannon's "Call of the Wild" for blank backs My stuff is still packed away, hence the reason I am woefully behind in writing asked for reviews - I apologize to those who asked - I am getting there. But in The Elegant Card Magic of Father Cyprian - written by Frank Garcia - there is a KILLEr routine using a same both sides d/f. Magicfish directed me to this effect last year. I really is strong. Perhaps Magicfish if you are reading this you could supply the title? My mind right now is chaos. Dave Campbell's "Irish Poker" is an an excellent routine using blanks Once again with John Bannon: "Twilight Zone Assembly" from Smoke and Mirrors Robert McDaniel who is a Café member had written a book called The Royal Treatment. It was produced by Chuck Martinez who was the same person who produced a lot of Paul Harris' early work. Anyhow, the title effect "Royal Treatment" is a stunning effect using d/f MacDonald's Aces of course is a perennial fave of mine Wayne Dobson's "Imagine" from WD40 is most definitely worth a look Peter Kane's "Gypsy Curse" is a winner. The effect is easy to find in good magic shops. The cards are unusual in design but they are common gaffs. Ben Salinas and I worked out a routine based upon a combination of Kane's original plus Derek Dingle's version and added some new approaches of our own. Along the same vein, the classic "Wild Card" is an effect that I love. I already mentioned "Call of the Wild" and I love it for its kicker ending. But for straight out Wild Card, I really like Flip Hallema's handling which can be found in Jon Racherbaumer's Kabbala. Also, Steve Dacri's version using signatures on the card is a great routine for that "special client." Some books worth looking into for more great routines include: The Card Magic of Nick Trost Nick Trost's Subtle Card Magic The Encyclopedia of Card Tricks Double Double Magic with Cards by Burling Hull Peter Duffie and Cameron Francis have separately and together created sone fantastic routines using common gaffs. These are available at their respective websites. "Leeway" by Duffie and Francis is a knockout effect. It's easy to make up and easy to do and packs a huge punch. Tot ziens, Vlad |

I like forcing there card ,they have a good look at it, examine it fully,i take it back loose it in the deck ,reach in my pocket and get out a pretend gun ,they hold the deck up ,Bang, there is a whacking great big hole in the centre of there card ,and there is no other matching card,or sometimes I just reveal there card is blank, either way its a killer.

Vlad 77 has given quite a comperhensive list. I would echo his comments on Da n Harlan's " A Little R&B " and Mc Donalds Aces. I am also partial to a fusion deck made with df cards, for a fusion effect for couples.
