Back in the late 60's Abbotts advertised the above illusion. Anyone have info on it? Were any actually built (seems like at least one!) Any one use, or see one in performance? I doubt that method would have been like Harbins' "Invisible Man", could I be wrong?

No problem adding it. I was kind of stunned at the price, $1000 in the sixties sounds like an awful lot.

I guess I was comparing to today's prices. Yep, back in the 60's that would have been a LOT of money. I was making $60.00 per 40 hour week in the late 60's, so the prices are relative.

I seem to recall Jim Steinmeyer mentioning this effect to me. It used polarized glass. Verrry expensive back then.

Maybe ...... Paul Osburne could draw this one up. he had a series on building discontinued Abbott products in MUM.
One of the last living 10-in-one performers. I wanted to be in show business the worst way, and that was it.

It would be fun to try and make one, I could see if I can find anything about this in the archive. Its not quite old enough for the Abbott Graveyard and we did rescue "The Chopping Block" last year so anythings possible.
