Left or Right Handed thing...
Here's a little gambit I use during DD's. I'll ask them to think of something they could draw, change their mind a few times and ask if they've settled on something. I'll hand them a pad and pen as I turn away but notice which hand they hold the pen in. They draw, tear of the sheet, secret stuff happens etc... and I begin my revelation. 'imagine yourself drawing this thing in your mind, you're right handed aren't you, let me borrow your right hand' Substituting Right for Left, if you noticed they are left handed of course. It's not a wow moment, and some people don't notice the 'revelation' or assume I noticed which hand they drew with, but in a group and over the course of an evenings Close-Up performances, it gets the odd reaction. If they ask how I knew, I'll point out the way their belt or tie is done, which hand their watch is on etc. and thrown in another random 'stock reading' line for good measure too. A subtle Holmes like miracle.

Also; if someone writes/draws with their left hand, for example, but you notice that when they cross their arms or interlock their fingers that they do this with the right arm/thumb on top (suggesting they are right hand dominant but write with the left) they usually consider themselves ambidextrous, as do most leftys in a right hand dominated world.

Bob - yes, meant to mention the belt. AND I messed up, I should have said that most left-handed people wear their watch on the RIGHT wrist, of course. Sometimes, when I'm outside a venue, I watch people get out their cars and have a good look at the stickers they have which often show their interest, anything from belly-dancing to karate, or even their parking permits which show workplace/ their city. Just little things to bring up during the show. Always nice.
