Spent a chunk of the day listening to this masterpiece by Alice Cooper and revamping my Paranormal show. What great stuff!
"I don't to see you go...I don't even want to be there...I will cover up my eyes...and pray it gooooooes....away...You've only lived a minute of your life...I must be dreaming...please stop screaming..." I must have listened to this album (back when there WERE albums) a thousand times. The fact that it deeply disturbed my parents was simply an added bonus. I still know all the words. And I still like it. It sucks getting old. David

"Welcome to My Nightmare" is brilliant in so many ways. If you're interested, the follow up album released this year is really good! Some of his best work in years IMHO.

I was sixteen when it came out. I loved it. Had never heard a concept album before...had not heard much symphonic rock. The whole thing was a mind blowing experience. I spent many hours speculating about who Steven was and how the songs might be strung together...what the narrative was.
I ALSO remember inviting my best friend over to listen to it. We had four beers between us and we sat in my basement with the stereo cranked. He freaked midway through the first side and told me to turn it off because it was completely messing him up. He got up and went home. I couldn't believe it. No one in my immediate circle liked WTMN. I kept wanting to play it for them and I'd get looks that were a cross between pity and incredulity. So when I was listening to it the other day it took me right back to those fragrant days of youth when I could not even spell "impossible." I DO remember wondering on one of those long summer afternoons if I would still like this music when I got "old." I remember thinking it would be a tragedy to ever lose my absolute love of rock and roll. Well...I never did. Guess what I'm listening to right now.... David

I owe you a punch in the arm. A hard one. When you least expect it....expect it. Lady GAGA???? Nah. That's TWO punches in the arm. In the same place. See you in Vegas, pal. David

AC/DC! lol
Prolly, what else you are playing! You do know that AC is the initials for Alice Cooper! Is there a tie in ? Gary

AC/DC is correct, Gary. Back in Black came out in 1980. And I still love it to pieces.

Sweeney has always been a favorite of mine, Critter, at least until the Johnny Depp travesty. Don't forget that Evil Dead and Carrie were credible shows though Addams Family and Young Frankenstein kinda, er, weren't...
Since we're hijacking david's thread anyway, did anyone else here see Shockheaded Peter a few years back?
