I was lucky enough to be sitting in on some of the explanations for this.

I think the material is great It was eye popping to watch and I thought this type of thing was not workable even watching it performed I was like wow if only I could do this stuff. But Dan has made this type of visual magic workable. If you have basic knowledge of sleights and are willing to practice these routines you will be suprised hoew easy and practical they are.

I think this will be another great project from Russ and RSVP.

Stunning, devious and Magical...i expect nothing less from Daniel. Known him now for about 5 years and he really is one of the best card handlers I know in my opinion (and that's not being biased either)

Hello Everyone,

Well it's only a few days before it's official release, so I thought I'd put up a longer video showing some of the complete routines from "Chardshark". It's brilliant stuff!

A great collection of super strong card magic that is not as difficult as it might appear. Sure, you will have to apply and practise but that's what makes it all so much fun isn't it?
Daniel always amazes me with the fluidity of his work. There is truly something for everyone on this collection

All the best

Some really excellent routines on this DVD. As others have already said this is real-world stuff too.

I'll be starting work on at least 3 of the routines very soon and I've already added one of Daniel's touches to a routine of mine that I already use.

Highly recommended!

Iain.

Looks nice, but as a magic effect I don't like it. The material makes you look as you are good in handling cards which destroys the magic. Besides that it looks like some moves are hard to learn which may not be worth the effort from a magician's point of view.

Hello madcats9,

I think you'll see from the reactions that Daniel gets on the DVD from members of the public, shows just how magical and appealing they find these routines. As a company, we're always driven to release stuff that works in real environments. You'll see that we're one of the few production companies that insist that all our stable of artists perform on their DVDs out in the real world, without set-up, fake audiences. This is so that our customers can see exactly how the material actually plays.

As John Carey says, this material is "not as difficult as it may appear"! Lee Smith said when he watched Daniel at the shoot, "It's the first time I've seen this type of magic that is actually doable in the real world".

Best,
Russ

So if you handle cards well it destroys the magic? Really? Looks magical to me. And I suspect the spectators think so as well.

FANTASTIC! I'm ordering this!

*Note to 'some' other producers. Be proud of your work and show full routines like RSVP. Otherwise, we think your hiding a boring project ( because, most likely you are ).

I order a lot of stuff from RSVP (a lot and I pay retail), they generally put out true "workers". The card to pocket I think from Lee Smit'sh STEP DVD is one of my go to tricks and is a very effective combination of principles. I have already pre-ordered this but from the full routines which I appreciate in a big way Russ posting, I tend to agree with Madcat. The tricks I saw I thought were a little confusing, much flash (which I don't mind) and not as much substance. In addition I thought the audience response was muted (some would say realistic). Just my impression. I rarely speak out unless I thinks something is terrible (which this certainly is not) but it was getting unequivocal support from the usual suspects (sorry that's how I see it) and I thought I would let Madcat know that I think his critique (of the trailer at least) is valid.
