I stopped at Abbotts yesterday and Greg Bordner was going through the accumulated used magic Abbotts has acquired over the past few months and getting it ready for the upcoming magic auction and flea market. I snapped a quick vid of some of the items that will be there but remember Abbotts is a small fraction of what you will see when you come to this event, and best of all this event is free to attend. Actually Abbotts usually gives something away to people just for coming but as you can see in the video below that Greg has been a little busy but I will make sure there is freebie at the door, maybe an illusion issue of Tops or something.
http://youtu.be/berFWE1kHSs Also Abbotts usually gives more freebies if you come visit their shop which is a couple blocks away, again probably more Tops magazines for your collection. If you stop at Abbotts be sure to stop at Fab since it is on the way, maybe even shout a hi to Sterlini Magic, I know they are working hard to get their shop ready for Magic Week in August. If this is your first visit we have pics of past Flea Markets at the link below. http://www.magiccapitol.com/aboutfleamarket.html Now over a quarter century old, the Abbott Flea Market/Auction is an annual event which takes place May 12, 2012. In years past the Flea Market has been held in the Grade School in the morning and the auction in the Abbott Showroom in the Afternoon. Starting in 2008 both will be held in the grade school and the bidding card is free! Beginning at 9 am the Flea Market is open and every hour on the hour will be a 15 minute auction up to 2 pm and then the rest of the auction will take place. A limited number of Flea Market tables are available for $30.00 each. (One table only please). This will allow you to also put 3 items in the auction. Tables sell out early (last year -2011- they sold out over a week before the event)! Remember, attendance in the auction and flea market is free, you only need to purchase a booth/table if you want to sell magic. We have sold 18 booth/tables at the time of this writing so they are available at the url below http://abbottmagic.com/2012-Sellers-Boot......2012.htm The auctioneer for this event will be Larry McMechan who is a professional auctioneer and also Grandfather to the "Reed Sisters". The late Hank Moorehouse came up with the idea for this Flea Market decades ago and last year he gave us all a story about that first Flea Market which you can see below. http://youtu.be/KbKVMmzZEW8 Remember Abbotts is always happy to purchase used magic anytime during the year, either cash, store credit, or consignment. |

Only 1 sellers table left, all indicators point to a great turnout.

All seller tables have been sold out so there should be a great selection of magic.
