Besides the original write up and in "Tangled Web" by Eric Mead, are there any more sources of the above "trick"?
I've heard Max Maven and Eugene Burger also have some work on this. Are some of that work in print? Daniel |

Lots and lots. Marlo's The Unexpected Prediction is my favorite iteration of the concept.

Which came first, the above by Marlo or Vernon's TTTCBE?

I personally like using a Juan Tamariz's idea of using a memorised deck to achieve the effect.

That obviously makes sense, but then you can't have the deck shuffled by the spectators. And I believe this is what makes this effect extremely strong.

Also Martin Nash has some work on this too. ~ Dan |

IIRC, Roberto Giobbi has a treatment of the trick in his recent lecture notes. I glanced through them at Magic Apple in Los Angeles recently. They still have copies for sale as of last week. http://www.themagicapple.com

David Ben has a great description in Advantage Play
There's one hidden in The Essential Stewart James Henry Evans had a short column about in the Linking Ring a few years ago (I think it ran across 2 or 3 issues) Lance Pierce has a write up of his version, but that may only be available from him directly. And I think David Berglas had a thought or two on it which you might be able to find in the Berglas Effects. |
