Rod from the 'Magic Gadget Site' stocks a whack of Tricks Co. Japan stuff. The biggest collection I've seen in 1 place. Maybe drop him an e-mail if you have further questions. He is a friendly, helpful bloke. Happy huntin'!

I'm working on an article on Tricks Co. Japan. There will also be a link to one of their first catalogs. I will post it on my website soon along with some other stuff - they had real gems in their line.

I snatch these effects up whenever I can find them, but that's not often enough. I struck gold a couple of years ago at The Cuckoos Nest in Pittsburgh. There were at least a dozen Tricks Co. effects on the bottom of a dusty display case, covered by newer tricks. As I asked to see them, the young man helping my replied, "Wow, I never knew those were even in there." Score for me!!!
I think their tricks are just as clever as Tenyo, but less-toy-like. I can't wait for that article Killertweety!
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

Glad you guys like it. Magic Patagonia, perhaps Miracle Seperation will become a favourite if I watch you performing it on Youtube (as happend with some other magic tricks I own. Never thought much about some, saw your routine/performance and realized: hey, it isn't that bad afterall!)

Wow that Tricks Co. Japan Catalog no.2 has a very surprising amount of stuff in it.
Lots of wood Mikame made items good luck finding any of those for sale. Thanks for making that available. Thing that was most upsetting looking at that catalog is I had many of those items way back then. I didn't think much about them being made in Japan stuff. I sold them dirt cheap thinking I will never use these again. Sold them along with piles of Adams stuff sure wish I would not have done that now. There was only one Fun/Magic shop "Bert Easley's" which is still in business is where I bought all my magic from growing up. They didn't have a single Tenyo item never even heard of Tenyo when I was a kid. Odd they would have Tricks Co and no Tenyo.

Thanks Killer for sharing this great info.
The Tricks company magic models seem right up my alley as I love to build thinks. They look nice too. I started and completed a Magic Works collection last month but that has to be it. I don't want to get started with Mikame or Magic Works because I have already spent too much time and money on my Tenyo Collection which I love. The cool thing about having a relative complete Tenyo collection is that you have just about every type of magic. Rope, card, coin, liquid, mystic, illusions, etc. etc. There is another company not mentioned called Rabbit Co. By Dr. Sawa. I could find close to zero info on them on the www. SEO has a extensive list of Mikame although many are no longer available. |

Briefly, the spectator moves the Sphinx towards the selected colored pouch, and the Idol locates the corresponding gem. This picture tells everything... (sorry for the double post) |

I hope Angelo Carbone sees this message! Since I really want creative people like him discovering new uses for the best idea to come along in the past 15 years...
Josh Jay's CORNERED! http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/1672 It is a brilliant reworking of the old torn corner bill principle which is much cleaner than the original. It will also fool those familiar with the original. We all love Tenyo magic in this section of the forum. Which means we all love creative and ingenious ideas. Which is why I am sure you will all love Josh's work in this area! Joe Mckay |

I just stumbled upon this little fun effect, which is unlike a Tenyo trick but comes from mastermind Hiroshi Kondo, inventor of Diabolicus, Billscape, Telesphere, Floating Lady et.al.
It's rather unknown (haven't read anything on the Café about it), so if you have any questions please let me know.

Super slick routine Bob. Josh Jay is sure talented. My only hesitation is riffling through someones' wallet. Great for friendly crowds & people you know. Excellent price too.
Nicolino...talk about a dream-team huh...Kondo, Mutsayama, Acer & Ouellet. It just doesn't get any better than this. Do you own a copy? Can you write a review re skill level, etc? |

Sure, will write some quick impressions - but you know how slow I am these days, haven't replied to your sweet greetings in May, which made me smile so much! Thanks, Glenn!
