I have a dye tube that I'm wondering who the manufacturer is. I have a Rice, Johnson, Viking, and various others, but I, for the life of me, can't remember who made this one. It's about 2.25" long and has elliptical openings (1-1/2" by 1-3/16"). It is made of metal with a 1" strip of medical tape around the middle. It has a white cloth ribbon and the whole thing is painted a flesh color. I have two of them, so I'm thinking I picked them up together in one routine. Any help will be appreciated.

Sounds like the Billy McComb Color Changing Hank gimmicks, his routine is called "Half Dyed Hank". I don't think it is Abbott's as I think they made them out of plastic.

Thanks. I thought it might be his. I have several sets of the Half Dyed Silk and they got mixed up in a move. I have about a dozen dye tubes all in one box and I'm trying to sort them all out.

As Billy McComb suggests, keep the tubes and silks in a plastic bag, all together. That way you never have to hunt for the parts to a trick.
I believe it was Hank Moorehouse suggest that the instructions should also be included in the bag. I was guilty of puttine things loose in a drawer, and if you are not using it, over time things will get mis-placed. Best to keep everything together. |

I keep things in bags that I currently perform. But I have stuff collected over the years that are just in boxes and drawers that need to be gone through and organized. A huge undertaking that I don't seem to have the time for.

Steven, I feel your pain! It is a difficult task to keep everything organized. I hate it when a need for something arises and I can't locate it. That is when I regret not having everything organized better.
