That's funny, I had a friend send me that pic last week with a message that said, "Your next project." I was like, "yeah I'll get right on it!", lol. It's a beautiful sculpture, a lot of love went into that.

I make one of those every morning, before breakfast. It gets the blood circulating through my fingers, then I'm ready to face the day. Smile

WOW! That's incredible ... Does anyone know how long that took to complete? And will it enventually deflate? Smile

If my memory serves me correclty, this was made at the 2007 Diamond Jam in Phoenix. Although, Mark has made other Dino's like this. I don't know how long it took him to make it, but I'm guessing 3 or 4 days unless he got to the convention earlier than that. And yes, it will eventually deflate, like all balloons. The fact that balloons deflate is not a bad thing. It keeps money coming into my bank account Smile

It's a shame that there couldn't be some way of preserving such a work of art as a permanent exhibit ... And if that's what one person can do in a few days, imagine what a 100 balloon manipulators could do in a week: balloon Taj Mahal, anyone? Smile

Check out the work of Larry Moss, he is known for his elaborate, large works, sometimes utilizing 100's of volunteers. Pretty cool.
As Christopher pointed out, Balloon Manor, an entire haunted house made out of balloons, with working props and everything.
I think I could safely say Larry helped pioneer this type of sculpting.

Balloon Manor was cool but is no longer being done...

Mark has made at least 4-5 different dinosaurs they take him about two days to make. Unless he has help.

Check out his website.

I think his stegasoras[sp?] for twist and shout that year was better, but yea you walk in a room with that in it and it is hard to talk about any thing else.
I think I have a photo of the steg, I'll post it if I can find it.
