Hello oh wise and learned colleagues,
Has anyone seen, or possibly heard of, a tip over trunk in the shape of a top hat. I have the resources to build one, and I'm not above building something that does not exist, it just might be easier to have a source. AND yes I realize angle issues on the tip over action, it being an open top hat and all, but I believe I have worked out the angle, as part of the illusion. Think old jokes and Rabbits pulling magicians out of hats.....you get the idea I'm sure. Cheers, Chris |

Jim Sommers has had one for years. Plans are in his book- Illusions you can Build. Also he will build one for if requested.

Thanks Gentlemen I do most certainly appreciate the assist.
I was honestly feeling a little lacking in the research department this evening, so thank you |

Donald, looked at the link, not what I'm looking for I'm afraid, what I need can't be collapsible for the purposes of
the proposed illusion and must be large enough to accommodate a medium build man. I'm very proud of the concept, I don't want to give too much away, but think comedy production of magician by rabbit suited individual. I've been working with a local magician and we are designing a new comedy magic stage show. |

The hat doesn't have to be collapsed, and the routine doesn't have to be presented exactly as the description on the Klamm website. Like Craig and I said, read the book. You could build your own, and make appropriate modifications to fit an adult instead of a child.
Speaking of costumed rabbits making magicians appear in hats, I recall a Paul Osborne plan in Genii along that theme (or it might have been a magician making an assistant appear, dressed in bunny ears and a tail). It wasn't a tipover trunk. The top hat was over 6' tall, and had curtains that opened to show it empty. - Donald
