Sorry if this has been asked before, but I tried the search and couldn't find anything.
I was looking to repair my invisible deck, and I could only find one clear matt finish at homebase. As this is the first time I'm using roughing fluid, I was wondering if anyone here has used this particular one before or, if not, if it's the sort of thing that does the job. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rust-Oleum-AE004......5&sr=8-1 Thanks! |

I have not tried it, but have read hear that some people do use Rust-Oleum with some success.

Just remember, what you are considering using was not meant to be used on paper products. Go here http://www.artsupplyshop.co.uk and do a search for Krylon 1311 Matte Finish Spray. You will be much happier with the results.
Cheers!

I have always used Testor's Dullcote (the matte finish spray) for roughing cards. It is available in hobby stores and lots of places online. I get spectacular results that is, in many cases, better than off the counter roughed decks.

I'm pretty sure that moby3 is in the UK, Rhett. Testor's Dullcote might be a moot point, at least I wasn't able to find it there. However, Krylon 1311 Matte Finish can be had.

Thanks for the advice! I do live in the UK, and although I couldn't find any testors in shops, I've heard such good things about it that I bought some online and it didn't disappoint!

I went across to a roughing crayon. Works very well and hardly leaves any white residue like some off the block type roughing sticks. Found it on ebay (type in roughing fluid and hopefully you will see the same ad) This stuff lasts for ages and it was less than £10 with free delivery
